TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES THROUGH CLEAN WATER
We believe that clean water is a Foundation for good health. Our WASH program installs community-managed boreholes, water purification systems, and sanitation facilities to reduce waterborne diseases and improve quality of life. We also conduct hygiene education and train local committees to maintain infrastructure, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Serve 1+ million people with clean water and sanitation across Uganda.
The Reality on the Ground:
Millions across Uganda wake up each morning facing the same challenge – finding clean water. Children fall ill from contaminated sources, while mothers and daughters spend hours walking dusty paths with heavy jerrycans balanced on their heads. Schools struggle with poor sanitation, and the cycle of waterborne illness continues to devastate families.
How We’re Making a Difference:
We don’t just drill holes and leave. We roll up our sleeves alongside community members to create lasting change. From the first community meeting to the celebration when clean water flows, we’re partners in this journey.
What Actually Happens:
The Real Impact:
Our work has reached over one million people, but numbers only tell part of the story. When diarrhea stops being a weekly occurrence, when girls return to school, when mothers start small businesses with their newfound time – that’s when we see true transformation.
A Voice from the Community:
“The day water came to Bukhalu village changed everything for me,” says Sarah, 14. “I used to miss school every other day collecting water from the valley. My hands were always cracked from carrying jerrycans, and my brothers were always sick. Now I’m top of my class, and my mother has started selling vegetables with her extra time. The water committee is so strict about keeping our borehole clean – they’re even saving money for future repairs!”
